This limited edition artwork was created by animation director-artist, Chuck Jones from his vast portfolio of original and limited edition works of art. This image shows Bugs Bunny, dressed in disguise as the barber of Seville, complete with scissors and other barbershop necessities.
The inspiration for this work of art came from The Rabbit of Seville, a Warner Bros. Looney Tunes theatrical cartoon short that was released on December 16, 1950. The short stars Bugs Bunny who is being chased by Elmer Fudd into the stage door of the Hollywood Bowl, where Bugs tricks Elmer into going on the stage. Once on the stage, Bugs is dressed as a barber, with the backdrop of a barbershop behind him. The cartoon was directed by Chuck Jones and written by Michael Maltese.
In 1994, The Rabbit of Seville ranked number 12 in "The 50 Greatest Cartoons" ever released.
The Limited Edition artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
