The inspiration for this work of art came from the first animated film directed by Chuck Jones, The Night Watchman (1938) featuring the cartoon character, Little Tommy Cat (a precursor to Sniffles) who takes over the job of Night Watchman when the regular watchman falls sick.
Lobby cards were introduced in the 1910s to complement movie posters and were designed for display in the lobbies or foyers of movie theaters, advertising dramatic, key scenes from the movie or highlighting popular actors.
The Limited Edition artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
