The inspiration for this work of art came from a commission by the Pacific Opera Company for their 1997/1998 season. Chuck Jones has captured the rarefied world of the melodramatic opera in his interpretation of a scene from Gilbert and Sullivan's operettas, The Mikado featuring Sylvester and Tweety Bird. No two Warner Bros. characters are more suited to that operetta than Sylvester and Tweety Bird. Three Little Maids Are We indeed!
