The Official Chuck Jones Virtual Experience is pleased to offer DISNEY fans "The Knighting of Pooh" a Limited Edition collaborative work from Peter and Harrison Ellenshaw.
The American artist, Harrison Ellenshaw, son of Academy Award-winning effects pioneer Peter Ellenshaw, began his career at the Disney Studios before joining George Lucas' effects studio, Industrial Light and Magic. There, the son of Disney Legend, Peter Ellenshaw would forge his own path, painting matte visual effects for Star Wars (1977) and The Empire Strikes Back (1980).
Ellenshaw would eventually return to Disney as a miniature effects creator on The Black Hole (1979) for which he would receive an Academy Award nomination. The Black Hole was the first film project the two famed matte painters "officially" worked on together. The elder Ellenshaw was convinced to come out of retirement for a chance to work with his son, Harrison Ellenshaw.
The inspiration for this work of art came from a collaborative work of Peter and Harrison Ellenshaw based on A.A. Mine and E.H. Shepard's stories and Walt Disney's 1977 classic film "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Christopher Robin makes Winnie the Pooh an honorary knight, witnessed by Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger.
The Limited Edition artwork is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
