The American award-winning artist, Tom Matousek's artistic journey began with studying and drawing cartoons as a child. He quickly rose to fame as a prominent mural artist. Experimenting with portraits, Matousek developed a technique of composing faces using sharp geometric forms. Most recently, Tom has painted for Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, former SVP of Google and current Softbank CEO, Nikesh Arora, and TOMS founder, Blake MyCoskie, in addition to countless portraits of celebrities, world leaders, and global icons.

The inspiration for this work of art came from an original by Tom Matousek based on the 2003 Disney film, Finding Nemo with the character, Crush who speaks like a surfer dude.
