The inspiration for this work of art came from the model sheets for Pepe le Pew. The skunk character was first conceived for the animated short, Forever Ambushed which was released on January 6, 1945, as “Odor-able Kitty”, the first cartoon to star the skunk of his dreams, Pepe le Pew.
