The Academy Award-winning animation director-artist, Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) has created many memorable hit TV shows, movies, and short films. He is truly a legend and icon in the art world!

This rare, limited-edition artwork was created by animation director-artist, Chuck Jones from his vast portfolio of original and limited-edition works of art.

The inspiration for this work of art came from an original by Chuck Jones and gives a rare look at Daffy Duck, the attention-grabbing, excitable character from prehistoric times to the present.

As one of the first of the new "screwball" characters that emerged in the late 1930s, this wacky character set out to replace the more traditional animated ones of the decade who were more popular such as Popeye and Mickey Mouse. There were a number of animators and directors that influenced the greedy, self-centered duck; however, the most notable ones are Robert McKimson, Friz Freleng, and Chuck Jones, as they worked closely together with a similar vision for their characters.

Daffy Duck had the desire to achieve stardom at almost any cost. He became a star who was featured in 130 film shorts during the Golden Age of Animation. As the third-most frequent character in the Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies cartoons, behind Bugs Bunny's 167 appearances, he was ranked number 14 on TV Guide's list of top 50 greatest cartoon characters.
