This work of art was inspired by an original India ink work by Eric Goldberg featuring the cartoon character Daffy Duck. Goldberg continues the Fine Line series by capturing the essential lines and expressions of Daffy Duck. Au Contraire and the companion work Debonair depict two of Chuck's most iconic characters, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
Goldberg's innovative take on the classic characters immortalized by the legendary Chuck Jones strikes a balance between the classical world of fine art and the delightfully zany world of the animated film.
