The Chuck Jones Gallery in San Diego invites you to join us for The Making of the Grinch, a special event that offers a rare glimpse into the creative collaboration between Chuck Jones and Dr. Seuss.

Craig Kausen, grandson of Chuck Jones and CEO of Linda Jones Enterprises, will lead this engaging multimedia presentation, sharing personal stories about the artistry and genius that brought the Grinch to life. This is a unique opportunity to explore how two iconic creators shaped a legacy that continues to inspire generations.

Following the screening, attendees are invited to a special reception at the Chuck Jones Gallery, where a Grinch-themed art exhibition will showcase exclusive artwork from the animated classic.

This exhibition will include exclusive one-of-a-kind original and rare artworks that offer a glimpse into the creative process behind the Grinch, curated with collectors and animation enthusiasts in mind. This intimate display celebrates Chuck Jones’s distinct animation style and the collaborative effort of his talented team, whose contributions helped bring the Grinch to enduring life.

Before the event, join us for festive fun at our Holiday Creativity Workshop in partnership with the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Chuck Jones Center for Creativity! Perfect for all ages, these hands-on activities bring holiday cheer and creativity together:

Character Drawing: The Grinch – Learn step-by-step how to draw the iconic Grinch! (Don’t worry, your heart might grow three sizes by the end.)

Model Magic: Mushroom Ornaments – Create whimsical mushroom ornaments with air-dry clay — a charming addition to your holiday decor.
