Bugs Bunny at the Symphony – Pittsburgh

“What’s Up, Doc?” Bugs Bunny turns 85 in grand, symphonic style—and Pittsburgh gets to celebrate in a very special way! The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra gave Bugs Bunny at the Symphony its world premiere back in 1990, and now the beloved concert returns for a brand-new edition, honoring both Bugs’ 85th birthday and the series’ 35th anniversary.
Sixteen classic Looney Tunes cartoons—including What’s Opera, Doc?, The Rabbit of Seville, Long-Haired Hare, Corny Concerto, and Baton Bunny—will light up the big screen, while the PSO performs their iconic scores live. Audiences will also experience dynamic new additions, including a brand-new animated short created to celebrate Bugs’ milestone year.
Conducted by Emmy Award™ winner George Daugherty and created by Daugherty and fellow Emmy Award™ winner David Ka Lik Wong, this high-energy production brings together comedy, animation, and symphonic brilliance in a way only Bugs Bunny could inspire.
An East Coast celebration not to be missed—joyful, family-friendly, and unforgettable!
