Meet Alan Bodner in Palm Desert

Alan Bodner April Event Palm Desert

Please join us at the Chuck Jones Gallery Pop-Up in Palm Desert to meet Emmy Award-Winning Pop Artist, Alan Bodner this Friday and Saturday (April 7 – April 8, 2023)!

Alan Bodner will release his latest work “Rat Pack at the Copa” (left on banner) and his extraordinary Pop-Surreal originals and limited edition artworks! Dedications are available.

The Emmy Award-Winning artist and art director, Alan Bodner has distinguished himself during the past 25 years working for Hollywood’s most respected studios on some of the most acclaimed animation projects for numerous studios and production companies, including Warner Bros., Walt Disney Studios, DreamWorks, The Cartoon Network, and Filmation, to name a few. His early credits include The Fat Albert Show, Mighty Mouse, Heckle & Jeckle, and Pee Wee’s Playhouse—followed by Looney Tunes theatrical shorts with Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester, and Tweety Bird.

Bodner’s creative process is spontaneous and bold. The vibrant, dramatic compositions represent an assembly of film and stage characters, celebrities, and monsters in surreal, multidimensional settings. With cultural references to the past, present, and his personal vision of the future, Bodner composes, alters, and exaggerates for ‘emotional effect’ creating the WOW factor – friendly and engaging results time and again.

Bodner’s Pop Art has appeared extensively in the press including Variety Magazine, Women’s Wear Daily, “New York’s ABC News,” and “Pee Wee’s Playhouse,” to name a few. His work has been featured in galleries and museums throughout the U.S. including the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills—and ranges from pop surrealism prints to multi-tier geometric assemblage. A graduate of the Art Center College of Design, Bodner has also received an Annie Award for his production design for the animated film, ‘Iron Giant.’

Lost in Space by Alan Bodner

His work ranges from some of the world’s most celebrated animated characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Sylvester, and Tweety Bird to sculptural works that combine patterns and shapes into unique conceptual presentations.

Additional credits include the Emmy-nominated Kim Possible, Phineas & Ferb, Mickey’s Twice Upon a Christmas, Cinderella II, Carrotblanca, among many others. His five Annie Award nominations include a win for Warner Bros. The Iron Giant and Emmy Award for Disney’s Tangled Series.
