Head to Chuck Jones Pop-Up Gallery in the Gaslamp for Comic-Con Weekend

The Chuck Jones Gallery Comic-Con Pop-Up is headed for the Gaslamp district in San Diego, CA. from July 21 – 24, 2022.

Hosted by Sparks Gallery during Comic-Con, the Chuck Jones Gallery will showcase both virtual experiences and animation/comic artwork in a special Pop-Up Gallery. Located at 530 Sixth Avenue in the Gaslamp, the gallery is within walking distance of the San Diego Convention Center.

Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin Martian, Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote in addition to other memorable characters by legendary Academy Award-winning animator-director, Chuck Jones and represented gallery artists will be available for purchase as works of art.

The hybrid Comic-Con weekend lineup includes Simpsons animator, Stephen Reis, artist, Tricia Buchanan-Benson, voice actor, Eric Bauza, visual artist, Fabio Napoleoni, and artist, Ben Olson. Program and ZOOM links can be found HERE.

Guests can also grab a selfie with a virtual Looney Tunes character in AR, or experience virtual reality with the characters (VR) in this special Comic-Con activation. Sparks Gallery will also feature and sell Surreal, Abstract, and Pop-inspired artworks from the gallery’s exhibited artists. The artists will be on-site to share their process and offer special limited editions or one-of-a-kind artworks. 

Created in 1977 by the Chuck Jones’s family, the Chuck Jones Gallery specializes in iconic animation cartoonists, entertainment art, and fine art, especially Chuck Jones of Bugs Bunny fame. The legendary animator-director-artist created over 300 films over a seven-decade career in animation and provided inspiration to countless animators, artists, writers, filmmakers, comedians, and more. His films were nominated for 9 Academy Awards (winning 3).
