On Tuesday, September 22nd, over 100 people attended a private reception for the program, Selected Shorts-A Celebration of the Short Story, held at the Chuck Jones Gallery in Santa Fe.  Hosted by Santa Fe's Public Radio station, KSFR (101.1 FM), the reception welcomed actors Kate Burton, Wes Studi and Symphony Space Artistic Director Isaiah Sheffer.  It followed A Tribute to Tony Hillerman, held at the Lensic Theater.  This SFCC Kate Besser Memorial Lecture Series presentation was a special tribute to the life and work of Tony Hillerman and was an evening of dramatizations of some of the famous author's stories of Navajo Country by Wes Studi, Kate Burton and Mr. Sheffer.
