The inspiration for this work of art came from the cartoon characters, Marc Anthony and Pussyfoot from the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies shorts. These cartoons focus on the dog and kitten duo: Feed the Kitty (1952), Kiss Me Cat (1953), and Cat Feud (1958).
