The inspiration for this work of art came from an original work by Fabio Napoleoni featuring his characters, Mr. Bunny Boozehound, Marcenivo, and Frank.

While working on a few images for an event in Key West this year I ran across a picture of one of its most famous residents, Ernest Hemingway.  In the vintage black and white photo I used for reference was Ernest surrounded by a few men in a bar where it appeared they were all laughing and just simply enjoying life. I imagined that great tales were being told by each man in the bar but they were all just waiting for Ernest turn to come along - Fabio Napoleoni
